Will report back when I’ve figured it out more/set up preferences correctly.

Tastings:
The coffee morning crowd in Edinburgh are extending their reertoire soon, with beer Evenings.
Encouraged by this, we plan to also have a whisky tasting or two.
The first will be by Alex Nicol, from the Spencerfield Spirit Company in Fife.
Alex will be showing us how to enjoy the highly regarded Sheep Dip Vatted Malt Whisky.
‘Woven’, (Alex’s words not mine) from 16 of Scotlands greatest malts, this is a whisky with a seriously knowledgeable worldwide following.
So I’m looking forward to it immensely, and will repost back, post-tasting.
Beer 2.0
(Shot credit: Martin Cogley on Flickr.)
Every Friday a few Edinburgh Gentle-Folk interested in the web, online marketing, new technologies and the like, meet for coffee at Centotre, a most hospitable and agreeable Italian CafeBarRestaurant on George Street.
However, it is sometimes a bit difficult for people to get to; early start, kids school run, lasts nights over-indulgence, business travelling, pitching, whatever, often gets in the way.
So in addition to Coffee Mornings, were going to have occasional Beer Evenings.
The first of which was going to be on either Thursday 21st June or Thursday 28th.
All the coffee morningers were polled on which would be the best date.
Responses were split as follows, roughly: a third said the 21st was best. A third said 28th was best for them. And a third said both dates were okay.
Naturally, the most sensible course then is to have the event on the 21st, AND the 28th.
At Whitespace, 7/8 Randolph Place, have kindly allowed us to use their boardroom. Belhaven, a Whitespace client, are generously providing a range of their excellent beers, and (I think) Jamie from Terinea, is said his company will supply some food, perhaps tapas or pies. (To be decided.)
Come one, come all, but please give us a shout before you do, so we can get an idea of numbers, and which day/s to expect you.
Kick-off 5.30 pm until 8.ish, then onwards to a hostelry methinks.
Ewan too, has blogged about it here.
CoffeeMorn 270407:
Today’s Coffee Morners shot and filtered via Ewan’s PowerBook/PhotoBooth. (Fraser W had the good sense to leave before the shots were taken.)

Five of us Coffee morned today, but what a cracking bunch of threads were unravelled.
Me, Ewan, Jamie, Fraser and Fraser covered:
Jaiku, ‘Media snacking‘, Google’s 20% time, the eco-friendly company down south who pay their employees 44p per mile when they use their car on company business, AND 44p a mile to all staff who use there bikes to get to and from work. (Still looking for link.)
The Channel4 future of education conference, bigoted Taxi drivers, (Dublin Branch), User Generated Education, how Nintendo have donated 30 wii’s to to a class of Scottish school kids, to help research the use of technology in Education. (See also here.) Correction: The education authority have bought.
We also discussed Euan Semple’s excellent theobvious blog.
Also Jim Downie, stopped by, sat down, then got up as he was supposed to be at another meeting at another meeting in Centotre.
Then came back, then got up again and left after getting a phone call that he had to do a rush ad, copy date Noon today.
Oh and all commented, the bacon rolls at Centotre were/are outstanding.
